Made by hand in our studio using traditional methods of copper foiling ( tiffany
work ) each piece of glass is cut by hand, edges ground, then wraped in copper
foil. When all the pieces are finished they are tallowed and assembled, all the
copper foil is then soldered together to make a strong panel. The other method
is lead glazing ( as in stained glass windows ) each piece is cut by hand and
laid on a pattern, lead came is used between all the glass pieces, cut to
length, and shaped to fit the glass. When the pattern is compleate all the
joints in the lead are tallowed and soldered ,special lead cement is then worked
into all the lead came to seal and strengthen the panel. The finished panels can
then be hung in a window to let the light shine through and bring them to life.
